The Bay Area Storytelling Festival is now in its 25th year of introducing Northern Californians to world class storytellers. This two-day festival, held the third weekend of May in El Sobrante's Kennedy Grove, is in part of the beautiful East Bay Regional Park District. It is preceded by a Friday study trip, allowing over 650 middle schoolers to hear from featured tellers at the Grove.
On the Study Trip page you can see photos of tellers and young people having fun and experiencing the joys of storytelling. You can also download PDF files with images, to share with your school and administrator, potential sponsors and others.
Learn and see many past quilts and quilters from the last 23 years!

The Bay Area Storytelling Festival is co-sponsored by the East Bay Regional Park District. Thank you for supporting this marvelous parks district, the third largest in the country, which offers so much to us through its 66 parks.

We are pleased to receive generous support for the festival from Lifemark, a major partner, the New York Times, a sponsor, and Holiday Inn Express, San Pablo, official hotelier for the BASF!
