We value our fun-friend-fund-raising storytelling house concerts, “Hearth Tales," which benefit the community of listeners and learners.
How It Works
Hosts choose the date and time for their concert. Some hosts may choose to participate as tellers and/or invite tellers they know. Other hosts may want to be matched up with volunteer tellers. We also need tellers who will volunteer to entertain for approximately 30 minutes for hosts in need of tellers. We think that two tellers per event would be about right. Sliding scales of $10-20 per guest suggested. All proceeds go directly to SAC, or specifically to the Jenny Education Fund, placing storytellers in schools where funds are lacking.
Have fun! Be Creative!

We are very excited about the success of our past Hearth Tales house concert series of fundraisers that raised awareness of the art of storytelling. All totaled, we raised $6,817! Thanks to our enthusiastic hosts, tellers, and contributors for their support.
Families, friends, neighbors, groups, gathered in living rooms, in gardens, parks, even at an authentic African mud hut!
The Hearth Tales program continues on, so if you want to host an event, we can help make that happen. Hosts now can direct the contributions collected for support of The Jenny Education Fund, proceeds of which are used to support storytelling events for youth in local schools and other venues.
